Japnaese traditional indigo dyeing ’Aizome'

Hello, how are you doing?
This is Meg from Yotsuya Business Garden.

Recently I went to an Indigo dyeing factory in Saitama prefecture.
This factory is a small; however they have an excellent traditional technique about indigo dyeing. They mainly dye kimono fabric.

Indigo dyeing is called 'Aizome' in Japan.
In their policy, they use all natural plants, they never use chemical materials.
Almost process of works is hand maid by the skilled workman.

Unfortunately, these beautiful 'Aizome' are not famous in the world.
I suggested these kimono cloth export to Europe and United States as  fabric for making Western style dress.

However, they answered these 'Aizome' are not acceptable among people in Europe and United States.

I have been  dreaming  that some movie stars in Hollywood and world-famous singers  like Lady Gaga chose to wear these Japanese Indigo blue someday!
